Studying abroad can be just as exciting for you as it is for your family. Parents, siblings and even extended family take advantage of your studies abroad as an excuse to experience a foreign country for themselves. It works well on both ends, you get to show off your knowledge of the city and get a few free meals out of it. On the flip side they get their own personal tour guide at no expense and visit sites they might not have found on their own. The mother of an SU student studying in Hong Kong last fall wrote an article for The Washington Post travel section about her adventures in the city with her mother and daughter. Take a read!
