Faraday House is hosting Refugee Stories, an exhibition focusing on migrant and refugee experiences in London after 1951. This ambitious project, which is part of the ongoing Refugee Communities History Project, works to preserve the oral histories and visual artifacts of refugee populations settling in the greater London area and to highlight their contributions to the community.
It archives life story testimonials transcribed in the original languages and translated into English in addition to visual materials, preserving this material for future generations. The exhibit will be set up in the student lounge of the Faraday House from March 19th to 26th. Several classes will incorporate the project into their coursework.
